Retirees:  $50.00
Pre-Service Teachers:  $30.00

Keynote - Joey Feith

Bio: Joey Feith is an award-winning physical education teacher, the founder of ThePhysicalEducator.com, and a proud new member of Kentville's amazing community. Having taught PE for 12 years, Joey is now focused on helping physical educators from around the world learn how to help their students get the most out of life through meaningful, effective physical education.

Since moving to Kentville with his wife and two young boys, Joey is committed to helping his new community thrive together through healthy, active play.

Workshops

Session A (9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.)

A1 - Getting to Know the Renewed Health Education Grades 4-6 Curriculum
Natalie Bakody, NS Department of Education and Early Childhood Development

This session will highlight what's new in the renewed curriculum and present helpful resources, lesson plans, inquiry based learning ideas, and cross-curricular connections so that teachers and learners can experience Health Education in meaningful and authentic ways. There will be an opportunity to learn more about and share ideas to make learning and teaching in Health Education more inclusive so that all learners see themselves and their lived experiences represented.
