Annual Council

Annual Council is the policy-making, democratic governing body of the Nova Scotia Teachers Union attended by delegates from across the province.

Each year, Locals and the Provincial Executive on behalf of committees and professional associations, forward resolutions to Council for consideration. The annual budget is set as well.

Those who have contributed to the benefit and welfare of teachers and public education in the province are honoured and every second year, the election of the First Vice-President takes place among the delegates gathered.
