Celebrating anniversaries is the theme of this issue of Perspectives. Although Canada, as a confederation, is celebrating its 150^th anniversary, one must not forget that our First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples were here long before us, for at least 15,000 years. One of our articles underscores the importance of understanding our collective history in order to move forward for equity and justice for Indigenous Peoples.
